Club Med.  You’ve either heard of it or not but trust me when I say, once you experience the Club Med concept you will be converted for life and all future holidays will be based around a stay with Club Med.

Established in 1950 with the motto ‘“The purpose of life is to be happy. The time to be happy is now. And the place to be happy is here” Club Med introduced the all-inclusive concept.  Now, 72 years later there are over 70 resorts worldwide made up of both sun and snow resorts.

Club Med caters for everyone from families to honeymooners alike.  For families they have award winning Kids Clubs with inspiring facilities and the newly launched ‘Amazing Family’ Program giving parents the opportunity to create special memories with their children through a fun filled weekly agenda of activities (or you can just drop them at the Kids Club and relax!)   When it comes to accommodation, they make it easy for larger families through the use of larger or interconnecting rooms.

For couples and honeymooners there is the Exclusive Collection.  A series of resorts in stunning destinations with extra thoughtful touches to make your holiday unforgettable – we’re talking champagne sunsets, breakfast in the privacy of your room plus much more.

Club Med are also very big on sustainability with over 75% of their resorts worldwide having received the Green Globe Certification. They take care of their staff and local communities by purchasing on average 90% of the goods, materials, and products from them.

Now if you’re a foodie (like myself!) your appetite and senses will be amazed by the culinary offerings of the experienced and talented chefs in each and every resort.   Some resorts offer cooking classes, beach BBQ’s, poolside dining, burger bars, pizzerias and more in addition to their al la carte dining and buffet style dining options.  Are you hungry yet?

With some incredible ski resorts located throughout Europe (France, Italy and Switzerland), Japan, China and newly opened Quebec Charlevoix in Canada, you are sure to find a resort to cater to your snow dreams.  Most resorts are ski-in ski-out giving you the opportunity to simply step out of the resort and onto the slopes.  In additions to the Club Med ‘all inclusive’ program, snow resorts also include ski essentials like ski and snowboard lessons and ski lift passes.

One way to describe a Club Med holiday is similar to that of cruising – unpack once, all inclusive (more generous than a cruise!), fabulous food and entertainment and an overall easy holiday.  So, if you’re not into cruising or are prone to sea sickness Club Med is a fabulous alternative that will certainly deliver.
