Design and construction tender process of the project will start this week and construction will begin mid next year.
Health Minister Steven Miles said the $61.92 million project would ease the burden on patients and visitors who struggle to find a car park.

“We know the last thing our patients need during a visit to hospital is the added stress of searching for a car park,” he said.

“This project will significantly boost the number of car parks ahead of the $460 million Logan Hospital Expansion which will increase the capacity of the hospital by almost half.

Parking fees will apply to the multi-level car park to cover the cost of the project. A Queensland Health spokesperson said parking prices had not yet been determined.
