Evolution of the Logan City Logo

The City of Logan has a vibrant new logo. It represents an exciting and innovative future in line with an energised and united new Council.

The refreshed city brand is part of a unified and revitalised vision for the city. It reflects our community’s values, cultures and diversity.

The logo will underpin a wider campaign to attract new tourism, jobs, investment and economic growth opportunities across the city.

City of Logan Mayor Darren Power said the new City of Logan brand was modern, progressive and symbolic of our history while also looking to the future.

“We are a proud, grassroots community of residents with many skillsets, cultures and backgrounds,” Cr Power said.

“This new logo is grounded in our identity as a progressive and authentic community.

“We are entering a new phase of our history as we rise above the challenges of the past few years and shape the future that our community wants and deserves.

“With this new logo at the forefront, we will continue to proudly promote the overwhelmingly positive features of our city and the opportunities available for those who live, work and visit here.”

In evolving the previous logo, a deep pink colour has been incorporated into a modernised version of the city’s blue and gold colours.

A single ‘gold leaf’ at the top of the logo signifies a flame or a beacon of light, representing a sense of hope.

Collectively, the colours interact to exude diversity, vibrancy, unity and optimism.

The single unified visual identity will replace the long-standing Logan City Council and City of Logan logos, which have been used on Council infrastructure, collateral and event branding in recent years.

As depicted below, the logo has not been redesigned for at least a decade.

It was long overdue for an update to reflect the changing nature of our diverse and dynamic community.

The redesign of the logo was funded through savings in the Council’s marketing budget in recent years. No additional funding was required for the project.

The rebranding of city infrastructure with the new logo will occur under normal maintenance, upgrade and replacement programs. The rollout will be phased in over several years.
