KRANK is a free or low-cost school holiday program for young people in Logan

Boredom is set to be banished in the City of Logan these school holidays.

Create a dream catcher, learn how to kneeboard or cook up a storm at Logan City Council’s KRANK school holiday program.

Separate activities aimed at five to 11-year-olds and 12 to 17-year-olds will run during the program from Saturday, January 11 to Friday, January 25.

KRANK bookings open at 9am on Monday (December 9).

People are encouraged to book quickly as some activities are expected to be popular and spaces are limited.

Participants need to contact the activity provider directly to book.

The KRANK program caters for a wide variety of interests.

Free or low-cost activities are spread between different outdoor and indoor locations.

There will also be $100 worth of toys up for grabs for the best coloured-in image of KRANK’s new mascot KRANKenstein.

The community is also invited to help shape the KRANK program through the Have Your Say feedback survey.

Logan City Council is looking for passionate providers to deliver future school holiday activities to children and teens.

Applications for Council’s KRANK providers opened today and close on Friday, December 6, 2019.

KRANK is a free or low-cost school holiday program for young people in Logan aged from five to 17.

The providers will be required to deliver activities in 2020/21 in Logan over the following dates:

* Saturday, June 27 to Sunday, July 12, 2020

* Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, October 4, 2020

* Saturday, January 9 to Monday, January 25, 2021

* Tuesday, April 6 to Sunday, April 18, 2021

Council will host an information session for interested providers, particularly those taking part for the first time.

The KRANK session will offer key details on the program as well as explaining the new application process.

The session is from 10am to noon on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Council’s main administration centre.
