Have you ever wondered what makes the perfect coffee? Simply Beans, the Coffee Roast Specialists have the answer.

“The staple of a good coffee starts with the quality of the beans that have been roasted professionally combined with a clean machine and a skilled barista,” said Deborah, co-owner of Simply Beans and proud Logan residents.

When Joe and Deborah first moved to the Logan area, there were no coffee roasters to be found. Joe grew up around coffee, and has always loved it, so the pair decided to give roasting their own beans a shot.

When they began, the scent of roasting coffee drew people from near and far, and they knew they were on to a winner.

From the very beginning, Simply Beans has been an award-winning business. Even winning an award in their first month! In 2018 & ’19 they won the retail award at the Logan Business Awards. Now, in 2021 Simply Beans is still on top with the Hospitality Award under their belt. “It was really exciting that we won the award three years in a row, it was also special that three of our clients were finalists with us,” commented Deborah.

Deborah and Joe are passionate about their coffee, and intent on providing the absolute best drinking experience to their customers. Even when most businesses were struggling in 2020, Simply Beans improved 50% in their retail side.

“With every new café and espresso van coming on board, the wholesale side of our business is continuing to grow” explained Deborah, “Currently, 40% of our wholesale clients are based in the Logan area and from the 1st of November, we will be providing coffee to all of the Council buildings in Logan.”

One of the cafes that use Simply Beans products is Café Flagstone, located on Bushman Drive in Jimboomba.

“Sarah is an exceptional young mum and business owner. We are happy with the partnership we have formed with her,” stated Deborah.

Café Flagstone originally started out as a small shipping container café in March 2018. Since then, owner, Sarah Onyszczuk has developed and continued to grow her business. Moving into a coffee and snack kiosk at the Flagstone Adventure Park before officially opening in Flagstone Central on the 19th August 2020.

“I chose simply beans coffee as they’re locally made, small businesses that produce amazing quality coffee. It is also a way to help support other local small businesses,” explained Sarah, Drawing upon 20 years of experience in the Hospitality industry, Sarah opened the first café in Flagstone. As a small family owned and operated business, Café Flagstone provides a friendly atmosphere, great customer service and delicious food; consistently striving for excellence every day.

“We offer a wholesome menu, good portion sizes, reasonable prices and we strive to support local businesses and our local community” commented Sarah. “There are a lot of great dishes on the menu, however our most popular item is our Brekky Burger with our delicious homemade tomato relish.”

So, why not stop by and visit Sarah and her team for some delicious food, first rate coffee or a quick chat. Everyone is welcome!
