Linda’s Lingerie: ‘Supporting’ Women for 25 Years

Finding the perfect bra is a struggle a lot of women face daily. Struggling to find a bra that’s not only comfortable but looks good, especially for women with larger breasts.

That’s where Linda from Linda’s Lingerie comes in; she has spent the past 25 years teaching and helping women find bras that fit, provide sufficient support and are comfortable to wear.

Linda specialises in making custom bras from scratch; fitting and designing each bra to suit the individual client. No two bras, like women, are the same.

“I feel like this is my God given purpose. My true passion,” Linda remarked.

In addition to running her business, Linda has branched out, offering her services to several organisations. For the past 5 years, Linda has been the Queensland fitter for ‘Perfect Again Breast Forms’; a company which helps women who have had a mastectomy regain that sense of normality.

Linda works with these women to design and fit a custom bra that is tailored to them; making them feel like themselves again.

Another organisation Linda assists with is ‘Support the Girls Australia’. Support the Girls are about empowering women with dignity and respect. They provide women with bras, underwear, toiletries and menstrual hygiene products which provides dignity and encourages a sense of self-worth and self-care. Working closely with women who are homeless and those fleeing from domestic violence.

Over the past 2 years, Linda has become a collection point for people’s unwanted bras, which she then passes on to the charity. Linda has always been involved in collecting bras for charity, previously collecting for the ‘Uplift Project’.  A charity that provides bras to women around the world who need them; often these women are either can’t afford them or don’t have access to ones that fit.

Linda commented that, “Women often put themselves last and bra shopping often goes to the bottom of the list”.

Women tend to feel a tremendous obligation to meet the needs of their families; continuously putting others first. It’s time for women to put themselves first and do something for themselves. Like women, all breasts are different; so why not have something that is customed to you.
