Creating the Perfect Piece

People love jewellery. They have loved to wear them since time immemorial. Jewellery has always played a great role in increasing our beauty and enhancing our looks. It can be very understated or make an outfit.

This is something that master jeweller, Larry Corbo and his team of professional jewellers understands and facilitates; providing custom designs and repairs for locals in Beenleigh and surrounding areas since opening L.C. Jewellers – Master Repairers and Design in 2004.

Why is jewellery important to people?

For a lot of people, jewellery holds sentimental and personal feelings of love and satisfaction. Often its special pieces of jewellery are passed down in the family or a treasured gift given by someone you love that holds the most importance for people.

Jewellery is also used to make a personal statement. Jewellery has an unquestionable ability to bring out the best in a person’s features and personality when the right piece is worn by the right individual to the right occasion. It can make a personal statement and individualise a person.

How does one choose that ‘Perfect’ ring?

It all comes down to personal preference of design and feelings. What may be perfect for one person won’t be for another; everyone has their unique tastes, opinions and style. People also have different lifestyles that you should take into consideration when designing that ‘perfect’ ring.

Who should come to you for their jewellery need?

Anyone who needs their jewellery repaired, cleaned, resized or remodelled. In addition, if you are looking for that personal custom piece, our expert team are always happy to help with all your design needs and wants.

What drew you to Jewellery making?

I am passionate about helping people with their jewellery dreams. As a master jeweller, I can create something amazing and personal for them to treasure over the years. I love designing and creating pieces for individuals.

How long have you been a jeweller and were you always based in Logan?

I have been in the jewellery trade for over 45 years and have been based in the Brisbane and Logan area for most of this time. I completed my apprenticeship at Wallace Bishop in the late 1970s and since then I have had the opportunity to work with several companies and jewellers, enhancing my skills, knowledge and experience. In 2000, I was a winner at the Australian Jewellery Design Awards.

Tell us about the range of services you offer.

We offer a range of services at L.C. Jewellers, including:

  • Master Repairers,
  • Designers of personal jewellery,

What has been the proudest moment for you as a jeweller?

On a professional level, as a jeweller, the proudest moment for me would have to be in 2000, when I was chosen to design and make the inaugural Grand Final Players ring for the Broncos NRL team.

Where is your favourite coffee spot in Logan?

I have to admit, I haven’t found a favourite coffee shop in the Beenleigh area yet; however, I am always on the lookout and love suggestions on places close by to take my clients.

And your favourite dining out venue?

In my opinion, you cannot beat The White House of Waterford. I have had many dinners there including my wife’s 50th birthday party where we had 70 guests. Their food and drinks menu is superb!
