AusPost Christmas Deadlines!

Australia Post has set deadlines for getting your Christmas post in this holiday season – and warn to expect big delays.

It’s only late October and mail volume has already reached record numbers. This will only rise higher with the December rush.

Monday 13th December is the last date for regular Parcel Post, and Monday 20th December for Express Post. Letters and Christmas cards should be sent in by the 16th of December.

These dates are only for metropolitan areas; anyone sending mail to more isolated cities like Darwin or Perth, or to more remote areas will want to send their post as early as possible.

Christmas is always a busy time for mail, but because of online shopping rising to unprecedented levels, postal services have been under more stress than ever before.

Whether you want to send your interstate loved ones gifts, or if you want to do all your Christmas shopping online – make sure to check the Australia Post websites regularly for updates.
