Events Signal Bright Future for Beenleigh

The return of the Beenleigh Cane Parade signals a bright future for Beenleigh with a strong contingent of events set to activate the city centre.

I’m especially looking forward to seeing the myriad of floats and performers make their way through the main streets of Beenleigh greeting crowds of locals before ending the historic parade at Beenleigh State High School for the judging.

Families will also enjoy movies on the big screen with the return of the free movie program and night markets at the Beenleigh Town Square. A wardrobe rummage event planned for November will also give you the opportunity to upcycle your style and support local charity 4Voices.

Logan City Council will soon complete a multi-million-dollar makeover of Beenleigh including the colourful shade solution discs that will set the tone for future events at the Town Square.

Before you know it, Christmas themed events will deck the streets with cheer and laughter as we all prepare for the end of year celebrations.

I have worked closely with Council officers and the community to bring major events to Beenleigh City Centre and am confident we will be able to end the year strongly.
